I'm impressed!!

I bought these for my grandsons, aged 9 and 7.-but I have not read them myself. The books will a Christmas gift to our 9 year old and will be passed down to our 7 year old faster than I want to think about!

"A little good. A little bad." -Angela

Pros: Characters are well developed. Pace is good. Cons: Characters are dishonest (moral values?). The main character lies to get a confession on very slim shaky evidence. The kids break into the Dean's office. The kids make a mess, and are comfortable framing the rival school which has nothing to do with it. The whole thing is about the scientific method, which was great, but at the end, the main character makes a wild assumption, with almost no evidence, and of course it is right. It is better than Math Inspectors, but still isn't as moral as I was hoping from the advertisements.
